1 1/2 pounds extra-lean ground beef
1/2 pound extra-lean ground pork
1 egg
1 cup mashed potatoes
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons seasoning salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chopped parsely
Throughly combine all ingredients except flour, beef broth, heavy cream and chopped parsley. Blend well and shape into about 24 (1 1/2-inch) meatballs. Roll lightly in flour.
Place on rack of broiler pan in preheated 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. Drain. Carefully remove meatballs to warm platter. Meanwhile, stir heavy cream into broth in crockpot; mix until smooth.
Cook on HIGH until hot; add the meatballs and hold on LOW until ready to serve. Just before serving sprinkle with the chopped parsley.
