1 L (4 cups) chicken broth
1 turnip into pieces
1 onion, quartered
1 potato, quartered
Salt and pepper
125 ml (1/2 cup) cooked small pasta

In a saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil.

Add turnip, onion, and potato.

Add salt and pepper and reduce heat.

Cover and simmer 20 to 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Mash the vegetables in the broth with a potato masher.

Add cooked pasta and mix.
