2 tsp. at the table with olive oil
4 cups vegetable center simmering
1 medium onion
1 large clove garlic
8 oz fine green beans (225 g)
1 package frozen lima beans (350 g)
1 cup canned beans with their liquid
Salt and pepper
To garnish: chives, parsley or mint

Cooking Instructions

Heat oil over low heat in large saucepan. Put the broth to heat. Peel the onion and garlic, chop the onion, crush the garlic with oil added.

Wash, remove stems and stringing green beans. Cut into 1-inch pieces and add with lima beans in the pan. Cook a few minutes over high heat.

Pour the broth. Boil 5 minutes, then simmer 10 minutes.

Remove from heat. Add the beans with their liquid. Mix well.

Reduce half of the soup smooth. Set aside in the pan, season with salt and pepper and reheat. Wash the herbs chosen, carving and serving.

Makes 4 to 6 servings
