1 1 / 4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter
1 cup pure cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup miniature chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium bowl, mix flour with baking powder.
In a large saucepan, melt butter. Remove pan from heat and stir in cocoa, then sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stirring continuously, add the dry ingredients.
Pour into 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips, pressing lightly.
Bake about 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. (Do not overcook as they become dry if overcooked.) Cool on rack in pan. Cut into squares.
Makes 10 large or 30 small squares
