3 cups apples, peeled, sliced
1 pie crust 9-inch diameter, uncooked
1 / 4 cup all-purpose flour
1 / 2 tsp. teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tsp. tablespoons firm butter
Preheat oven to 400 ° F.
In a large bowl, combine 1 / 2 cup brown sugar 1 1 / 2 tsp. tablespoons flour and salt Add the egg and mix well. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Add apples and toss lightly. Pour mixture into pie crust and bake 10 minutes.
In a medium bowl, mix 1 / 4 cup flour with remaining brown sugar and cinnamon. Add butter and work with a pastry blender or two knives until the mixture has the consistency of coarse crumbs. Sprinkle evenly with the pie mixture.
Lower the oven temperature to 350 ° F and continue baking 40 minutes or until mixture is taken. Cool on a wire rack.
