2 cups all-purpose flour
4 tsp. teaspoon baking powder
1 tsp. tablespoons sugar
1 tsp. teaspoon dry mustard
1 / 2 tsp. teaspoon salt
1 1 / 2 cup cheddar cheese grated Canadian
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 / 4 cup melted butter
paprika

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, mix flour with baking powder, sugar, mustard powder and salt into cheddar.

In a small bowl, lightly beat the egg. Stir in milk and butter. Pour at once over dry ingredients and mix just until moistened. Pour into a loaf pan 8 1 / 2 inches by 4 1 / 2 inches (21 cm x 11 cm) pan. Sprinkle with paprika.

Bake 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Refoirdir leave on rack in pan 10 minutes pendand. Unmold and cool completely.

Makes 1 loaf
