2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour (I, pastry flour and cake)
2 c. teaspoon baking powder
¼ c. teaspoon salt
¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 ¼ cup sugar
2 eggs
¾ cup milk
C. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups strawberries

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour an 8-inch pan.
In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Book.
In another bowl, cream butter and sugar with electric mixer.

Add eggs, beating until mixture is very pale and homogeneous.
At low speed, add dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla.
Pour batter in pan on cut strawberries.
Bake for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
