1 / 2 pound lean ground beef (250 g)
1 can of baked beans 14 oz (398 ml)
1 / 4 cup bottled barbecue sauce (50 ml)
4 hamburger buns with sesame seeds
3 cups grated cheese colby Canada, divided
In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat and discard fat from cooking. Add beans and barbecue sauce and bring to ébulllition over medium-high heat. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered 5 minutes or until mixture is hot.
Split buns in half and toast under the grill preheated oven. Remove the half-loaves from oven and sprinkle each with 1 / 4 cup colby cheese.
Return to oven and broil until cheese is melted. With a spoon, distribute the hot bean preparation between the half-loaves. Top with remaining colby cheese and broil in oven until cheese is melted.
Makes 8 servings.
